WEEK 3: 52 STORIES OF INSPIRATIONAL WOMEN

From Unconventional Beginnings to Entrepreneurial Triumph!

This is Chelsea Lynn G’s story

WELCOME TO WEEK 3 of 52 Inspirational Stories of Women! The project is designed to recognize 52 inspiring Women, celebrating the everyday women who make a difference in our lives.

WHERE DID IT ALL BEGIN?

My story doesn’t unfold like a fairytale. I wasn’t raised in a loving family with inspiring role models. Instead, I entered this world with two disinterested parents and was surrounded by people I hoped never to resemble. But adversity shaped me, pushing me beyond my comfort zone. At 18, I boarded my first flight—from Canada to Cuba—for my closest friend, sister’s wedding. That experience ignited a passion for exploration and new cultures. It set my soul ablaze. It was then that I realized for a burning drive live life beyond the ordinary.

Soon, I was juggling two or three jobs, saving every penny. Traditional university and the 9-to-5 grind didn’t resonate with me. So, I embarked on a fresh start: Australia. Alone, with immigration and bills piling up relentlessly, I relied on my social media and photography skills honed during my travels.

Picture this: I lived in a tent at a Byron Bay hostel, powered by an old MacBook connected to a makeshift car battery and inverter system. It was sheer determination that drove me forward each day. Friends were continents away, but I was resolute. I launched my business, proving to myself what I was truly capable of.

And so, my journey unfolded—one that defied convention, embraced risk, and led me to where I am today – entrepreneurial triumph.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

I’m the owner of an organic marketing and content creation studio. I’ve had the privilege to work with clients in 9 countries across 4 continents (and counting!) My entire career revolves around helping businesses grow and helping business owners create their dream lives. Its one of the most rewarding feelings I’ve ever felt!

WHAT INSPIRED YOU?

The idea of providing myself with everything I needed to thrive in life – financially, emotionally, physically – with a genuine smile on my face. I never wanted to be in a position where my happiness was reliant on another person, so I worked hard (and continue to work hard) to this one goal, and then everything else fell into place.

HOW DO YOU STAY INSPIRED?

I remember where I came from and all of the things that I’ve been able to give myself over the years because of who I am now. I am my biggest critic, but also my biggest source of inspiration, and I know that I can tap into that at any time.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR THOSE THAT WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

Find what you love and turn it into a career. And don’t be afraid to share your story. I used to be so embarrassed about my past until I realized that it’s made me who I am. It’s my truth, and the more I shared it the more I found support and guidance, or GAVE support and guidance through my journey. That is what allowed me to create my dream career, which in turn helps me build my client’s dream careers through the work I do and the support I offer their businesses.

Stay true to yourself and your vision.

HOW DO YOU GET PAST SELF-DOUBT?

I understand that self-doubt is a signal that I need to slow down, appreciate my surroundings, and adjust how I’m speaking to or viewing myself in that moment. Positive
self-talk and positive personal reinforcement are two of my most used tools, both in everyday life and in times of self-doubt. Repeating a certain phrase to myself while doing some type of grounding work – bare feet on the grass, swaying my body and arms side to side, standing outside with my face towards the sun – helps to control my emotions, reduce any spikes in my stress hormones, and allow me to get tot he root cause of the issues that are creating the sense of self-doubt. It’s one of the best therapy tools I’ve ever been given, and I’ve used it successfully for almost a decade.

WHAT GIVES YOU HOPE FOR THE FUTURE OF WOMEN?

Our resiliency. We are the carriers of the entire human population. Our bodies are literal portals, whether we choose to use them to birth children or birth great ideas
and businesses into the world. I’ve never known more pure and unfiltered conversation than I have in a circle of close, connected, and supportive women. We speak our minds, we guide and nurture each other, and we’re only just getting started regarding our recognition in the world. The best is yet to come!
